Kathryn Carmindy Bowyer (born March 26, 1971) is a makeup artist based in New York City. She was raised in Southern California, where she started doing makeup in the early 1990s. She has worked with InStyle, Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Self, Vogue, GQ, Essence, and Details. [1]
Carmindy has also worked with many celebrities such as Cindy Crawford, Isabella Rossellini, Heidi Klum, Björk, and Christie Brinkley.
She is married to Javier Acosta.
Her work can be seen weekly on TLC's What Not to Wear. Her first book The 5 Minute Face was released by Harper Collins Publishing in April, 2007.
In Carmindy's book The Five-Minute Face, she also writes about the appropriate make-up for a woman's age as well as the right colors and shades of make-up for her skin tone and hair color.
Carmindy has teamed up with Sally Hansen cosmetics to create a line of all-natural makeup called Natural Beauty, available at drugstores.
