[edit] Character history

Originally, Pine Valley native Carmen Morales was introduced during Erica Kane's sentencing. Erica, along with her lawyer Jackson Montgomery were listening as Carmen plead her case that she did not commit a crime, and her boyfriend, Armando did it. The judge did not believe her, and she was sentenced to prison. As she left out the courtroom, she realized that she was coming face to face --with the Erica Kane! She said thate Erica was her biggest fan.

It came to be found out that this is who Erica would be spending her days handcuffed to until she got to prison. Erica tried to get along with Carmen, who had killing her boyfriend, who had framed her for robbing a bank, while he did it when she was in the car. Erica tried to talk sense into Carmen, but it did not work. When they had a chance to escape, Carmen took the guard's gun and forced Erica to go on the run with her. At first, Erica was frightended, but since they were still handcuffed together, they bonded. As Carmen convinced Erica that she was really a good person, and innocent, Erica told her of her humble beginnings. As Erica agrees that she and Carmen will approach Armando, they do, only to have the tables flipped on them by Armando's mother. However, Zach Slater, and Jackson arrive just in time to save them, but Lucinda and Armando still might be innocent, because Erica's tape recorder burnt. Now safe, Carmen and Erica are back in prison.
