[edit] Papotto's story
In the morning of October 25, 1954, Carmelo Papotto was inspecting some equipments of his Italian agriculturist company, located in Tripoli, Libya. When approaching a metallic stairway, he noticed that something was noiselessly descending from the sky.
According to him, the object seemed like a six-wheel car, with a "tail" similar to a helm. It was 5 meters long. The inferior part of the object seemed made of metal and the superior one, made of something transparent. The object also had two lights on the sides and an exterior ladder on the center. He also noticed two sticks, similar to radio antennas, one on the front part, and other on the back part of the UFO. And finally, two pipes similar to guns caught his eyes on the superior part of the object.
He approached the object and noticed that it emitted white light rays that illuminated everything in 4 meters range. He then spoted six beings moving slowly inside the spaceship. Their clothes were yellow, and their faces, completely covered. One of them, human-like, was breathing through a tube.
Papotto attempted to go upstairs to take a deeper look at the object, but a strong electric discharge hit his hand and made him give up. At that time, the beings were already out of the aircraft, and one of them gesticulated towards Papotto ordering him to stay where he was.
While all of the beings were somewhat very busy, Papotto took the chance to observe the interior of the object. There were some chairs, some tables and a radio device operated by a being wearing a cap with several electric wires.
After some 20 minutes, the beings boarded the ship again and it started to climb steady and noiselessly until it reached about 50 meters, and then it disappeared to the east in high speed.
The report of the researcher of the case revealed additional details: Marks of 10 centimeters width tires on the ground. These marks would suggest six wheels, forming pairs, separated by 10 centimeters. A blue substance was found on these marks, and then analyzed, but no results were revealed yet.
Papotto said he had never been in knowledge of any kind of information related to Ufology, explaining why he didn't fear approaching the object.
His story was published on the magazines Clypeus, Raporto UFO Italiano and newspaper Giornale Del Mattino, and until nowadays, nothing could be concluded relating to this case.
