Carmel Mountain Ranch is a community in the northeastern part of the city of San Diego, California. Carmel Mountain Ranch is located west of Poway, south of the Rancho Bernardo, east of Rancho Penasquitos, and north of Sabre Springs. Carmel Mountain Ranch is commonly known as CMR.
The community features a large shopping center, Carmel Mountain Plaza [1], which features several dozen retailers.
Carmel Mountain Ranch also features a business park which includes several notable businesses such as Carvin and Beyond Bikes [2].

Interstate 15 is located on the west side of Carmel Mountain. Carmel Mountain is located at the eastern end of State Route 56, the Ted Williams Parkway. Carmel Mountain Road is the main North-South artery.

Every year the San Diego North Chamber of Commerce hosts the Fall Festival. Local businesses, community organizations, and schools host booths. This year's fest will be held on September 14th.
Also, every Christmas, graduates from Meadowbrook Middle School host the "CMR Olympics".
