Carmale

Carmale (also known as Armale) is a district in the Sanaag region, a territory disputed by the Republic of Somalia, the Republic of Somaliland and the autonomous state of Puntland. In July 2007 the district became part of Maakhir State of Somalia.
The town is located in Hadeed Plateau, a tract of land that covers the middle of a large area of the Sool Plateau
