More commonly referred to as Patea Beach, but originally called just simply Carlyle Beach. Historically Carlyle was a small ferry settlement across the Patea River, in New Zealand, near the river mouth. Settlement commenced around 1860.
Carlyle Beach and Mana Bay are very popular destinations for camping, fishing, surfing and swimming today.
