Carlos Alberto Valencia (born April 28, 1989 in Santa Marta is a Colombian left wing back who plays for Dijon FCO in France.
He made his debut November 10, 2007 in River's 2-1 loss to Huracán and played the full 90 minutes in his debut.[1]
After starting two games at the end of the season for River Plate, many french clubs became interested like Lyon and after not playing a single minute or being called to any of the River Plate friendlies he joined Dijon FCO in an his first attempt in Europe.
When Carlos left Colombia at the age of 15 to go play for River he was an Attacking Midfielder, at the age of 17 when he joined the River 1st Team he was put at Left Back, and takes corners and throw ins.
