Carlos Trillo was born in Havana, Cuba on March 21,1941. From 1954 to 1961 he resided in the U.S.A. He currently resides in Havana, Cuba. He paints and has no academic education. Thus considered as a self-taught artist. He was member of the "Espacio 5", in Havana, Cuba; (Pedro de Oraá, Raimundo García, Carlos Trillo, Félix Beltrán, Raul Santoserpa y Juan T. Vazquez Martin).

His must relevant exhibitions are C. Trillo's exhibition in 1966 , in the Instituto "Julián Grimau", in Havana, Cuba. In 1982 he presented Ana, el tiempo y los muros, in the Centro de Arte 23 y 12, Havana, Cuba. In 1991 also exhibited Trillo - Corratgé, in the Centro de Arte 23 y 12, Havana, Cuba.

He was part of many collective exhibitions, among them we can quote 1967 the XLVIII Salón de Pintura, escultura y grabado, Círculo de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba. In 1989 he one of the selected artist to conform Contemporary Cuban Art, in the Westbeth Gallery, in New York, U.S.A. And in 1994 he was included in Cuban Art. The Last Sixty Years, in Panamerican Art Gallery, Dallas, Texas, U.S.A.
