Carlos Santana Morales

Carlos Santana Morales founded the Comité Permanente de Enseñanza de la Ingeniería (COPEI) in Mexico in 1980. Morales created the organization for the purpose of consulting university authorities and supporting their implementation of engineering programs compliant to international standards. Santana was also president of the Committee of Education at the Union Panamericana de Ingenieros (UPADI) from 1990 to 2000. Morales is currently a full time professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City, and a correspondent member of the World Federation of Engineering Organisation's Committee on Education and Training.[1]
