Carlos Pereira

José Carlos Rodrigues Pereira, or just Carlos Pereira for short, (born 28 July 1952, in Santa Cruz, Madeira, Portugal) is the current President of the Portuguese sports club CS Marítimo, one of the country's leading football teams.
An businessman by profession, Pereira took over the reigns of the club on the 4 July 1997, when he was elected to replace previous President Rui Fontes.
Pereira is well-known as a close friend to Madeira's regional governor Alberto João Jardim and Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo, who is a native of Madeira.
