Carlos Julio Villar Aleman was born in Cárdenas, Matanzas, Cuba, October 1, 1946. Since 1990 he resided in Mexico City, Mexico. He develops the Humoristic Drawings. With no academic education he's considered as a Self-taught artist. Since 1980 he was Member of the Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC), Havana, Cuba. In 1983 he was a Juror at the III Bienal Internacional de Humorismo. San Antonio de los Baños, Havana, Cuba.

In 1980 he exhibited "René de la Nuez and Carlucho". FITIL Movie Theater, Moscow,Russia. In 1985 he presented "30 Obras de Humor Político de Carlucho". Michoacan, Mexico. In 1988 presented his works "Desde el blanco hasta el negro" . Galería Juan David, Centro Cinematográfico Yara, Havana, Cuba. And in 1990 he exhibited "Sobran las palabras" , Castillo de la Real Fuerza, Havana, Cuba.

He also formed part of many collective exhibitions, among them we can quote in 1970 Salón'70, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba. In 1977 he participated in the II International Cartoon Exhibition, Athens, Greece, 1977 "Good Morning Pollution." He also participated in the III (1977) and IV (1979) International Biennial of Humor and Satire in Art. "The World exists because it laughs" House of Humor and Satire, Gabrovo, Bulgary. He was one of the selected artist for "60 Rassegna Internazionale di Satira e Umorismo. Trento Fra Realtà e Follia". "Peccati di gola", Studio d'Arte Andromeda, Trento, Italy, 1984. In 1995 he was included in "Collective Sample of Humorism" , Espaço Mascarenhas, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

During his life he had obtained many distintions, among them we can mention the First Prize. "To be or not to be" Contest of Satirical Drawings. Poland magazine, Warsaw, Poland, 1975. In 1980 he was reognized with the Third Prize in Comic Strip. Le 171 Salon International de la Caricature. Terre des Hommes, Pavillon International de l'Humor, Montreal, Canada. And in 1986 he was awarded with the IX Prize. 25ste International Cartoonfestival Knokke Heist, Humorhall Duinbergen, Knokke Heist, Belgium`.
