Carlos Hasselbaink (born December 13, 1968 in Paramaribo, Suriname) is a former Dutch football (soccer) player. He played as a striker for several Dutch clubs, including AZ Alkmaar, Stormvogels Telstar, VVV Venlo, FC Utrecht and HFC Haarlem, before retiring in 2005. He also had trials in England with Norwich City[2], Luton Town[3] and Wigan Athletic in 2000, but failed to gain a position. He is the older brother of Cardiff City striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. His younger brother is 4 years younger but has won more prizes in football. He quotes that he owes a lot of his success to his family for all the great support they have given him, also he thanks all the people who made his dream come true and finally all the managers and players he had many happy years beside in the team.
