Carlos Condit (born April 26, 1984) is an American professional mixed martial artist (MMA) from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is currently fighting in the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) organization, where he is the welterweight champion.[1]
He successfully defended his welterweight title on February 13th against Carlo Prater, winning by guillotine choke in a rematch of a fight Condit previously lost. [1] He holds notable wins over Frank Trigg, Brock Larson, and Renato Verissimo. His father is also the Chief of Staff of New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, the former Democratic Presidential Candidate.
