Carlos Bonilla Chávez

Carlos Galo Raúl Bonilla Chávez better known as Carlos Bonilla (March 21, 1923-) is one of the pioneers of the Ecuadorian classical guitar and an important figure in 20th century Ecuadorian music.
He studied at the National Conservatory of Music in Quito (Conservatorio Nacional de Música de Quito) and in 1952 became a professor of the guitar and music at the conservatory.
He was involved with the Ecuador National Symphony Orchestra from 1956 until his retirement in 1985 [1].
