Carlist.com began March 15, 1986 as a San Francisco Bay area 800 number consumer used car database. Started by Lou Ann Hammond CEO and Editor-in-Chief, carlist.com migrated to the Web in 1995. Carlist.com is now the longest running used car database on the Web.

Carlist.com has evolved into a unique automotive portal, featuring previously owned automotive vehicles, a wide variety of automotive journalist new car reviews, and featuring Lou Ann Hammond's weekly articles.

Lou Ann Hammond regularly guests weekend with Alex Witt on her MSNBC Live Weekend morning show *providing poignant insight on the global car culture, advanced technology energy, and the oil business.
