Carla Bonner (born March 3, 1973) is an Australian actress best known for playing the role of Stephanie Hoyland (née Scully) in the soap opera Neighbours, a role she has played since 1999. She was also a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother Australia in 2002.

[edit] Acting career

Before her role on Neighbours, Carla had been acting for several years and has appeared in many commercials and television programs. Her only film role so far came as an extra in the Jackie Chan martial arts comedy, Mr. Nice Guy.

During time on Neighbours, Steph has been involved in many major storylines, emerging as a key character in the series.

Bonner lives close to Melbourne with her sons Harley (born 1991) and Jhye, (born January 1998). Bonner is currently dating Australian celebrity Sullivan Stapleton, brother of her one-time co-star Jacinta Stapleton [1].

Outside of Neighbours, Bonner follows various public pursuits. She has been involved in several mainstream Australian charities over the years.

Bonner was involved in a car accident in July 2006, and was charged with driving while unlicensed, amongst other charges. [2] [3]
