Carl "Buster" Smith

Carl "Buster" Smith (1921-1992) was an eleven-time "Top Master" champion in pool checkers. He won from 1967 to 1992.[1]
He began in his native Chicago and was city-wide champion by 17. He remained Chicago's best player until his death. He rarely played for money so made his living working for the post office.[2]
