Carl Schenck

Carl Schenck established 1881 in Darmstadt, Germany the company Carl Schenck Eisengießerei & Waagenfabrik. Today Carl Schenck AG is a subsidiary of the global technology conglomerate DÜRR AG based in Stuttgart.
The Carl-Schenck-Award by the TU Darmstadt (technical university) is dedicated to him.
The campus in Damrstadt houses two units of Dürr's Measuring and Process System (MPS) division, Balancing and Assembly Products (BAP) and Schenck Technologie und Industriepark.
Schenck provides solutions for a wide range of industries, ranging from the automotive and electrical industries, the aeronautical and aerospace industries to turbomachinery construction and general mechanical engineering. The company has a worldwide staff of approx. 1000 employees and sales of 170 million EURO. It is currently managed by Dr.-Ing. Ralf-Michael Fuchs and Franz Peter Matheis (2008).
