Carl Scheib

Carl Alvin Scheib (born January 1, 1927 in Gratz, Pennsylvania) was a Pitcher for the Philadelphia Athletics (1943-45 and 1947-54) and St. Louis Cardinals (1954).
He was the youngest player in the American League in 1943 and 1944.
Scheib led the American League in Wild Pitches (9) in 1950.
In 11 seasons he had a 45-65 Win-Loss record, 267 Games, 107 Games Started, 47 Complete Games, 6 Shutouts, 125 Games Finished, 17 Saves, 1,070 ⅔ Innings Pitched, 1,130 Hits Allowed, 634 Runs Allowed, 581 Earned Runs Allowed, 99 Home Runs Allowed, 493 Walks Allowed, 290 Strikeouts, 30 Hit Batsmen, 35 Wild Pitches, 4,714 Batters Faced, 6 Balks and a 4.88 ERA.
