Carin Mincemoyer (born 1972 in Milton, Pennsylvania) is an American artist based in Pittsburgh. In 1994 she received her BFA with a concentration in Painting from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. In 2005 she completed her MFA at the State University of New York at Buffalo. In 2007 she received the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council Grant in Pennsylvania
Mincemoyer has received numerous awards and honors including a Pittsburgh Foundation Individual Artist Award,[1] a Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship[1] and a Vermont Studio Center Artist Grant.[citation needed] She won an Outstanding Student Contribution in Contemporary Sculpture award in 2005.[2] She has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions at venues such as the Rochester Contemporary,[1] DUMBO Arts Center[1] and the Andy Warhol Museum.[3] Her work has been reviewed in numerous publications, including Sculpture Magazine, The Buffalo News, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and Pulp.
