The Caress of Steel Tour was in support of Rush's studio album Caress of Steel. The tour kicked off September 26, 1975 at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia and ended on January 10, 1976 at Massey Hall in Toronto, Ontario. This tour was dubbed the Down the Tubes Tour due to lackluster venues and poor album sales.
