Carditis

Carditis is the inflammation of the heart or its surroundings.
It is usually studied and treated by specifying it as:
- Pericarditis or the inflammation of the pericardium
- Myocarditis or the inflammation of the heart muscle
- Endocarditis or the inflammation of the endocardium
Reflux carditis refers to a possible outcome of esophogeal reflux (also known as G.E.R.D.)
