Carderock, Maryland

Carderock, Maryland, is located in Montgomery County, Maryland, along the Potomac River, just west of Bethesda, Maryland.
It is the location of a division of the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC). Many rock-climbers enjoy rapelling up the cliffs of Carderock.
