Carantec (Karanteg in Breton) is a commune in the département of Finistère, in Bretagne.
Carantec is located on the coast of the English Channel, and contains a small island within its boundaries, the Île Callot. Carantec is bordered by the communes of Henvic and Taulé to the south, and is near to the town of Morlaix.
Carantec is twinned with Grand-Saconnex in Switzerland.
