Caralee McElroy (1983 - ) is a multi-instrumentalist in the experimental band Xiu Xiu. Alongside her cousin Jamie Stewart, she plays keyboards, flute, bass guitar, harmonium, bells, gongs, and guitar. McElroy joined the group during their Fabulous Muscles tour. McElroy was born in Olympia, WA and currently lives in San Francisco, CA.
McElroy's vocals are prominently featured on the Xiu Xiu tracks "Sad Pony Guerilla Girl" (from 2003's A Promise), "Helsabot" (from 2004's Fleshettes), and "Hello From Eau Claire" (from 2006's The Air Force). Most recently, McElroy played a large role on Xiu Xiu's sixth studio album, Women as Lovers (2008).
