Carajia is a site of Peru, located in 48 km in the northeast of the city of Chachapoyas in the province of Luya (region of Amazonas), where about 250 mummies were discovered in side of mountain in 1983.
These mummies of human forms, that's why have their deal the name of antropomorphiques, have a height of 2,50 m. They are made of earth and stone, the chin of the face being a wooden plate. They are studied since their discovery in 1983.
