Car Make T&E

Car Make T&E is considered one of the top car tuning and fabrication shops in Japan. It was established on October 10, 1996 by Mr. Takahiro Ueno and is located in the Tsuzuki-ku ward of Yokohama city. The brand concept is very simple "Technical" and "Elegant" are the two words that Car Make T&E prides itself on. At the time of the company's inception, Mr. Ueno had little money but he was able to perfect his craft and develop an original style uniquely his own with custom aero kits for various Japanese vehicles. Since becoming a major player in the drifting and VIP tuning scenes, Car Make T&E has spawned a host of unique brands under its name.

The original aero parts brand developed by Mr. Ueno in 1996. Vertex body kits offer a simple yet aggressive design that plays off the lines of the car. Vertex aero kits are very popular because of their clean subtle appearance, and their availability to majority of the Toyota and Nissan luxury and sports model vehicles.

The next level in Vertex design. Vertex LANG offers the same quality aero kits with a race inspired design. The brand specializes in designs for the Nissan Silvia and Fairlady Z models.

The complete wide body system by Vertex. Vertex Ridge offers more aggressive styling which many consider to be the best wide body kit for the various vehicles with which it is offered. The Vertex Ridge wide body aero kit is featured on Mr. Ueno's D1 Toyota Soarer.

A special brand developed for the VIP enthusiast. ism features designs for modern and classic Japanese vehicles, the brand features fresh designs while staying true to the Vertex concept.

The newest aero parts branch of the Vertex styling brand. DIGNA offers kits for the latest in Japanese vehicles, including the Lexus IS350, SC430, and the Infinity G35 coupe.

[edit] T&E Performance Parts: T-Zero & Légerfort

Aside from their well known aero parts brand Vertex, Car Make T&E also features high performance brake pads by T-Zero and titanium exhaust components by Légerfort. Both brands offer parts for various Japanese vehicle applications. The Légerfort titanium exhaust can also be seen on Mr. Ueno's D1 Toyota Soarer as well as Nobuteru 'NOB' Taniguchi's HKS/Vertex Toyota Aristo demo car.

Sui Vax is Car Make T&E's tuning division. They are responsible for the exterior fabrication, engine building, and dyno tuning of all of T&E's demo and competition cars, including Mr. Ueno's D1 Toyota Soarer. Sui Vax has had a long-term relationship HKS and predominantly use their engine components and turbochargers in all of their builds. Other brands partnered with Sui Vax include; renowned Silvia tuners, Yashio Factory and braking specialists, Project Mu. Sui Vax is also located in Tsuzuki-ku a few blocks away from the T&E shop. Sui Vax was featured in 360 Video's, JDM Insider series and can be seen in Volume 2 and Volume 4: The Kanto Tuners.

[edit] Reputation In Japan & The US

Since it was opened, Car Make T&E has experienced positive growth. The company is one of the most respected car tuning facilities in all of Japan regarded in the same ranks as elitists Top Secret and Phoenix Power and with the opening of an office in San Diego, Vertex-USA, the company's parts are now available to American enthusiasts. One of the reasons for the company's continued popularity is with their success in the D1GP, specifically Mr. Ueno and his Toyota Soarer. Last year Mr. Ueno placed fourth overall and has vowed to keep driving various versions of the Soarer chassis until he takes top honors at D1GP.
