Hi there, would you mind explaining why you feel this station is notable? I just read over Wikipedia:Notability (Places and transportation) and it does not quite seem to meet the requirements, along with no sources to verify it even exists. Thanks, Tiptoety talk 00:03, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Okay, but then don't you feel that if the article currently does not assert notability, has no sources to verify and is so short that it really provides not context it should be deleted per CSD A1? Tiptoety talk 00:12, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry I was just trying to help out. Believe it or not, that is the current situation at my high school, it's pathetic really. And yes, two people did commit suicide with notes reading, "In Honor of Ackbar", and "For Ackbar". I also had a question. How do you react so fast to edits, do you have a program or something, or did you just happen to look at the page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.100.212.27 (talk) 23:19, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Osijek

Hi. I just noticed that you reverted some edits to Osijek. They were by an anon IP, but I don't see why they were reverted. Apart from the need for a bit of a copy-edit and perhaps the removal of a sentence that was a bit speculative, I think they were decent edits. I've therefore restored them. Let me know if you think this is misguided. Cordless Larry (talk) 23:24, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cite error

Could you help me with this. I created an English translation of a German version of Rudolf E. A. Havenstein with a language link back to the German version and it worked ok. Then I noticed from a Google search that there was a French version. So I added a French link which did not work and caused a "Cite error" red error message. So I reverted it, but that did not make the error message to go away. Greensburger (talk) 20:23, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

I was able to restore the entire article including the German link, but any reference to ((reflist)) or (references/) caused a Wiki bug to be triggered which caused a red "Cite error" message, even in "Show preview" mode. Apparently this bug causes a syntax error if there is (references/) but no (ref) footnote (/ref)" and a linkage error occurs in a language link. I was able to remove the syntax error by inserting a (ref) footnote (/ref). But there is still a Wiki bug that should be fixed. Greensburger (talk) 21:48, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

I myself use ((reflist)) when adding a references list rather than (references/). (message from Captain panda)

I tried that, but it did not remove the syntax error. I was able to remove the syntax error by adding a (ref) footnote (/ref). So the code is ok now and does not need fixed. What does need fixed is a Wiki bug that causes a syntax error whenever all of the following occur:
(1) ((reflist)) or (references/)" are used, and
(2) there is no (ref) footnote (/ref) and
(3) a linkage error occurs in a language link.
That caused a syntax error that was dormant when I removed the erroneous language link and removed ((reflist)) or (references/), but the syntax error was still there and would cause a "Cite error" message when I put ((reflist)) or (references/) back in. The only way I was able to remove the syntax error was to add a footnote in addition to (references/). This is a subtle bug in Wiki source code, but I do not know how to report it to somebody who has access to Wiki source code. I was hoping you know how to report it. Greensburger (talk) 20:57, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

I went looking for and found the place to report a Wiki bug: Wikipedia:Bug reports. Thanks anyhow. Greensburger (talk) 03:57, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] New Project

Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.

If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 04:35, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of 12448 Mr. Tompkins

A tag has been placed on 12448 Mr. Tompkins, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ziggy Sawdust 02:14, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
