Temporary may not be the best way to describe Term Products. Temporary implies that it will end, while several programs can allow the Term to be extended to age 95. It's a contract with a term just like any other type of insurance.

I've also added comments about ROT pointing out the terms (as in contractual oblications) are similar to permanent life insurance rather than Term.

All Life insurance products use the same mortality tables.
