[edit] Tempio and Caravaggese
Are you sure U.S.C. Caravaggese is named that way rather than U.S. Calcio Caravaggese? I am asking you because the team is apparently so called as it hails from the towns of Calcio and Caravaggio. Secondly, Tempio recurred to the Lazio TAR in order to have their exclusion overturned, so I would not include any of the sides in the Serie C2 teamlist before a decision is made official. --Angelo 10:08, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- I would keep it as "U.S. Calcio Caravaggese", as it is clear there is still some kind of association with the town of Calcio, and the word "Calcio" is not part itself of the initial denomination. Here is a source stating Tempio will recur at the Lazio TAR: [1]. --Angelo 10:26, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Serie A clubs and Category:Serie B clubs
Hello. I notice that you created Category:Serie A clubs and Category:Serie B clubs, to contain all clubs which have played in Serie A or Serie B at some point in history. However, I'm concerned that this is confusing, as people usually associate a "Serie A club" or "Serie B club" as a club which currently plays in that division. It is also quite counter-intuitive to see a club like Juventus F.C. under both categories "Serie A clubs" and "Serie B clubs". I think it would be better if the categories only contain the current clubs, or to rename the categories to for example Category:Clubs which have played in Serie A. There is a discussion and a poll at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football#A_few_category_names, so feel free to give your opinion on this. Chanheigeorge 18:29, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AS Cosenza vs Fortitudo Cosenza
Hey, CapPixel, it seems you did a little mess :) Let me be clear: there was no acquiring of sports rights in all the facts: Fortitudo Cosenza is merely the renaming and relocation of Rende Calcio, whereas AS Cosenza just opted not to enter Serie D due to financial troubles. I would anyway leave Rende Calcio as it was, as the club is likely to be refounded; it is also clear Fortitudo Cosenza will be regarded as AS Cosenza's successor, with fans, colours, stadium and all (even if it is not the legal successor). In short, better to leave Rende Calcio as it is and move AS Cosenza to "Fortitudo Cosenza", reporting all news regarding the recent events (does the club have a full denomination, by the way? I doubt this is the complete one). Ciao. --Angelo 21:04, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, but the practice of relocating teams is way more diffuse than you think; just this year, Comiso became Vittoria, but how about the article about the now defunct F.C. Vittoria? How about A.S. Cosenza Calcio, born in the early 2000s itself as relocation of Castrovillari Calcio? Some more examples: F.C. Messina Peloro, as stated in the full denomination, is the relocation of a team representing the local neighbourhood of Peloro, and not the direct heir of the former ACR Messina. The new Cosenza will be recognized by supporters to be the "real" Cosenza, so there's no need to have two separate articles. That's why I'd rather keep a Rende Calcio article stating the club ended its history in 2007 following its relocation to Cosenza. --Angelo 21:20, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- What I wanted you to know is that relocation is a diffuse practice in amateur football. Sorry if you've felt offended. --Angelo 21:01, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Reply
Yes, I already moved the article to that location.[2] It was standard in the earliest days for clubs to have FBC rather than the FC which we have now. - The Daddy 09:01, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Turboamerica
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Turboamerica, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}

Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Turboamerica. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 21:16, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Parma FC logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 18:11, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Serie B 1958-59
A tag has been placed on Serie B 1958-59, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Negazione.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Negazione.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 01:43, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Catarrhal Noise live.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Catarrhal Noise live.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rossrs (talk) 08:42, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Template:Campionato Sammarinese
A tag has been placed on Template:Campionato Sammarinese requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).
Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 21:07, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Page blanking on Serie C 1945-46
Hi, I saw that you blanked the article, Serie C 1945-46. Please try to use the edit summaries to explain your actions. As there was no explaination why the page was blanked, I reverted the page to its previous state. Thanks. --Ubardak (talk) 01:06, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] A.S.D. San Felice A.C. Normanna
Excuse for my english...; This Club is called: A.S.D. San Felice A.C. Normanna and not Aversa Normanna! See: http://www.lega-calcio-serie-c.it/it/seriec/copita0708/calcoppaitalia.htm (Italy Cup Serie C 2007/08 open best club Serie D season 2006/07 - Group R) - http://www.interregionale.com/safemode/public/designazioni.pdf (tomorrow referees match 27 april '08 - Group H) - http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aversa_Normanna (italians Wikipedia page). FIGC disapproved illegal name Aversa Normanna, because city of Club is San Felice a Cancello and not Aversa, and official name is San Felice A.C. Normanna. --Pampasosa (talk) 15:36, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Declino
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Declino, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Declino seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Declino, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] San Marino Calcio
Hi, I was just wondering if you were any where near Serravalle in San Marino, I have recently began copying editing the San Marino Calcio article with another user. The thing I wanted to know is if you could take any photos of the stadium or anything relating to San Marino Calcio. Thanks. Sunderland06 (talk) 22:51, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- Oh well, it's fine. Sunderland06 (talk) 13:09, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Serie B Template
Its no use arguing with Number 57, I tried. He changed all the templates his way and then claims that his template is the standard. I tried reverting but he re-reverted everything his way. I don't live at the computer like he does, so I let him have his way, just like Giggs got his way when he changed the Classification format for Serie A.Juve2000 (talk) 14:59, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think it has been taken up as a discussion in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football (See "Seasons" templates). I proposed a compromise in the Serie A template by keeping the alignment as set out by Number 57, but increasing the font size to 100%. I made the change directly on the template and wait for some sort of response. I left Serie B, C1, C2 and D alone for now.Juve2000 (talk) 18:33, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

- You guys were right the first time. His version, including the alignment is really ugly. There really wasn't anything wrong with it before he edited it. Any case, its 3 against 1 (him) so he has to go along with the majority rather than his personal stylings. - Ordinaria (talk) 22:14, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

- Agreed on? All of the times you have claim that, or said its "standard" the link shows you not to be telling the truth. In the link you just showed, one person said they personally use it on the Man United seasons one. Absolutely nowhere does it say "this is the standard and Number 57's template must be used on the Italian articles". In fact its very much "disagreed on". You have three people disagreeing with you here and nobody agreeing. - Ordinaria (talk) 04:43, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Templates
Having seen your comment on WT:FOOTY, can we agree on changing the Italian ones, but to the style which User:Juve2000 used (i.e. 100% font size)? пﮟოьεԻ 57 14:21, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'll put a link to the main discussion on it. If there aren't any more comments in the next couple of days, I'll take that as no-one caring. пﮟოьεԻ 57 14:37, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- It's best to centralise discussions at the main project page. Letting seperate countries have different templates leads to all hell breaking loose, as happened recently with the MLS club templates, which led to threats of a "breakaway" football project... I think we need to agree on a format for all templates, regardless of which country they represent. пﮟოьεԻ 57 14:42, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, obviously. I think what I've put on the talk page is sufficient. Feel free to expand on the importance of it if you disagree, but please make sure that people are directed to the main project page to discuss it. Cheers, пﮟოьεԻ 57 14:51, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
