My name is Gautam Valluri. I live in Hyderabad, India. I've attended the National Institute of Fashion Technology where I graduated with a Diploma in Fashion Design in the year 2006. I had worked as a fashion designer till May 2007 in New Delhi, India.
Presently, I am the founder of and writer at BrokenProjector.com where I write about film on a regular basis. I had also worked on two films as Assistant Director for Charminar Films. I have also done interviews with independent filmmakers that include Andrew Semans from USA and Ashvin Kumar from India.

I have attended the prestigious St.George's Grammar School, Hyderabad from 1988 to 2002. I've spent my entire schooling life here and I take great pride in calling myself a true georgean. This was perhaps the best period of my life, learning and growing up with other students who've come to become lifelong close friends and being taught by teachers who were just great human beings with a lot of compassion and discipline that they've passed onto their students. The school has a 174-year history behind it, with the magical original building still intact proudly bearing the school emblem of St.George slaying the dragon and the school motto 'Perseverantia Omnia Vincit' that translates into 'Perseverance Conquers All Things'.
After St.George's, I attended the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Hyderabad for a 4-year diploma course in Fashion Design. I've spent my four years here forming close friendships with fascinating people from all over India and growing up out of my teens and into the early twenties learning from the global exposure of the course. I graduated from NIFT in May 2006 with the 'Best Design Collection' award for my work at my graduation fashion show.
