I thought it had been confirmed that Keith Richards would be playing Jack's father...

I think that's correct, the entry for POTC3 on IMDB states that Keith Richards is cast as Grant Sparrow [1] ALTHOUGH, this article is about an upcoming movie and as such, some things may change. I'm removing the proposed deletion because of this. ~ Feureau 00:38, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

So, is his name Teague or Grant? The article inconsistantly refers to him as both....

Terry Rossio stated on the website Keep to the Code (here http://forums.keeptothecode.com//viewtopic.php?p=340417&highlight=#340417), that Keith Richards' character's name is Captian Teague. It is also ONLY A RUMOR that he is Jack's dad.

I was at the IMDB forums and saw a link to an article on a fansite. Also they had a picture of Keith Richards in a pirate costume looking like Jack Sparrow. Is this a real picture of the character or some kind of promotion thing? That is not a picture of Captian Teague. As of now, there is NO officially released picture of him.

Teague, Grant, whatever...whatever you do, it should not be at "Captain [whomever]". Captain Jack Sparrow was recently moved to Jack Sparrow, and this article should also be named according to that precedent. hbdragon88 07:49, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

As of now, they have not officialy named him a Sparrow. He is officially Captian Teague, but Teague Sparrow is fine with me!

Why does the article say assumed father? Was Jack's mother an adultress? Is there any indication that Teague is not Jack's father? Emperor001 16:59, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
