Said Captain Beaky "Well I'm blowed! Hissing Sid has swallowed Toad"! Memorable words in a memorable song, on a memorable album. Captain Beaky grabbed the imagination and hearts of the UK in the 80s, and even the villain was a hero. At this time, Hissing Sid is innocent was a popular chant, thanks to BBC Radio 1 and other culprits! It is about time for a revival. Crazy Frog would be forever buried by these true works of art. Schnappi would be bitten hard, and even Snoopy's Christmas would go down in flames! This is one of the best double albums I ever listened to, and I recommend it for children of all ages - from 2 to 102!

I've added the track listings for the Polydor 1977 'Captain Beaky And His Band' tape, which has almost all of the Vol I and Vol II songs. I'm not sure of my identification of "The Trial of Hissing Sid!!!" as track 22, having lost the sleeve notes at one point. This track is where a mole describes Hissing Sid hypnotizing a mouse girl. --Motmot 12:26, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
