Talk:Cape Hatteras Light

[edit] My edits
I changed the first paragraph to include information about why the lighthouse was built in the first place. I took out the height that was given (193 feet, 2 inches) because it didn't match the information on the National Parks page (http://www.nps.gov/caha/lh.htm). I also added a timeline that shows the various changes that have occurred with the lighthouse, and I added a list of facts in a new "Description" section. I realize that some of my information overlaps with the existing text. I'd like to clean this up a bit, but I just didn't have time yet. -- Kam Tonnes 03:18, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
- That other height appears to be (perhaps historical) "height above mean high water mark" of the light itself, not that of the tower. It's now 191 feet. --Dhartung | Talk 13:57, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
