In addition to the more famous American military interrogation centre at the Guantanamo Bay detainment camps, in Cuba, and another interrogation centre at the Bagram Theater detention facility, the CIA maintains a network of covert, extrajudicial interrogation centers. Two, "the salt pit" and "the dark prison", are known by name.
