Capital City Speedway is one of Ottawa (Ontario)'s short tracks. Approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) southeast of Kanata, it has an oval of approximately 0.4 miles (0.6 km) in length, as well as a drag strip which uses the front straightaway of the oval. It was originally opened in 1961 after Landsdowne Park stoppped hosting races around its foot ball field.
