Capio

Capio is one of the leading healthcare providers in Europe. It provides healthcare and diagnostics services for public and private customers in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and Portugal. The Capio Group has an annual turnover rate of approximatel SEK 13,000 million (EUR 1,400 million). It comprises more than 100 operating units with some 15,000 employees.

In November 2006, Capio was acquired by Opica AB, indirectly jointly owned by funds advised by Apax Partners Worldwide LLP, Nordic Capital Fund VI and funds advised or managed by Apax Partners SA. Capio was delisted from the Stockholm Stock Exchange on 2006-11-17.

In August 2007, Capio was merged with the Swiss laboratory firm, Unilabs, to form the largest company in its industry in Europe.
