Cape Monze

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cape Monze is a beach on the Arabian Sea located near the Hub River and Gadani Beach in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.

The coast between the mouth of the Hub River and the promontory of Gadani is rich in prehistoric sites of different ages, which were discovered and partly radiocarbon-dated during the last years. Previous researches carried out in the seventies by Karachi University had already shown the great archaeological potential of the area. Among the sites of major importance is the jasper outcrop of Gadani, which was exploited during the Indus Valley Civilization.
