The Cape Leveque Road is a regional Western Australian road which runs for 202 kilometres (126 mi) up the Dampier Peninsula from Broome to Cape Leveque. The road is bitumened from south of Beagle Bay to the nothern towns and the southern section near is generally closed in the wet season as it becomes impassable due to flooding. When the road between Broome and Beagle Bay is open it is generally maintained poorly and is quite corrugated.
The road is vital for servicing communities on the Dampier Peninsula and is also a popular tourist attraction. The road is maintained by the Shire of Broome and the road condition can be checked on the shire's website.
