The Cape Fear Indians is an extinct (in early 19th century) tribe on the Cape Fear River (now Carolina Beach State Park, North Carolina).
Their name for the area was Chicora.
Some Cape Fear Indians fought under Colonel John Barnwell against the Tuscarora in 1712.
The Cape Fear Indians were defeated and left the area by 1725.
Population: 1,000 (1600); 206 (1715). Only known village: Necoes.
