Cape Clear is a small town located in Victoria, Australia. Cape Clear has a hotel and a general store. The town is close to the Woady Yaloak River. The area was once vibrant during the gold rush in the 1800s. It is now largely dependent on farming and ranching.

The name was said to have derived from an Irish bullock driver who got bogged on a road nearby and put up a sign saying "Cape Clear!" (Keep Clear) to warn people of his stuck vehicle. The sign referring to his Irish accent.
