Launch Complex 1 (LC1) is a deactivated US Air Force launch site located on Cape Canaveral, United States at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
LC1 is located on the Eastern tip of Cape Canaveral, and along with launch complexes 2, 3 and 4 was originally constructed in the early 1950s for the Snark missile program. The first launch from this site was a Snark test on January 13, 1955.
The complex was used for Snark missions until 1960 and was later utilized as a helicopter pad during Project Mercury. The final use of the site was during the 1980s for tethered aerostat balloon radar missions.
