[edit] Duplicate Image:Canalboat2.JPG

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Canalboat2.JPG, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Canalboat2.JPG is a duplicate of an already existing article, category or image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Canalboat2.JPG, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Picture of canal in Holland.jpg

Hello there. It appears that you have created an article at Picture of canal in Holland.jpg, rather than an image, which is what I believe you intended to do. If you'd like to upload a picture, use Wikipedia:Upload. Thanks, shoy (words words) 23:50, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

I replied to your message on my talk page. shoy (words words) 00:13, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia by creating the page Canal5.jpg. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Hm. "my test worked" and the page I created has been "deleted." It obviously didn't work; I need to go back to the "welcome" page?

The image that you uploaded can be found here [[Image:Canal5.JPG]], not here [[Canal5.JPG]]. Notice the difference? I added an example to your userpage of how to add images. It's a little overwhelming at first, I admit, but you'll get the hang of it. shoy (words words) 00:31, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 00:38, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
