[edit] revert war

This article is currently under a revert war with Instantnood. 'nood is continually adding [[category:economy of mainland China]] and also inserting mainland before the instances of China.

  • re: the category. The category was deleted against Instantnoods typical objections. Re-inserting this is simple vandalism.
  • Re: mainland. use of "mainland" is without regard that HK and TW companies, or agents or mainland subsidiaries of HK and TW companies, attend the fair.
thus, the reverting. SchmuckyTheCat 21:53, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
Joint ventures of Hong Kong and Taiwanese companies in mainland China can participate, so as those of American, Japanese or Korean companies. SchmuckyTheCat, you know well about how the category was deleted. — Instantnood 17:01, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I do know how it was deleted. That's the point, it was deleted. Recreating deleted categories is going against community concensus, just plain vandalism.
And the joint ownership is why it's ridiculous to use to call them exclusively "mainland" companies. SchmuckyTheCat 20:00, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
You turned all of those categories you don't like empty or almost empty before you nominate them to CfD. See the discussion there.. and read those arguments. Was it a genuine and trustworthy consensus (even if it were a consensus)? What is vandalism and who was vandalising, in the first place?

If a mainland China-US joint venture in mainland China isn't a mainland Chinese company, then, by the same logic, is a mainland China-US joint venture in mainland China a Chinese company? Isn't it equally ridiculous? — Instantnood 20:16, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

If you want to question the deletion concensus, take it to WP:DRV. SchmuckyTheCat 22:26, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
