This is not your typical dictionary definition; it should not be deleted. I created this article because the only one Wikipedia currently has that comes anywhere near this definition is Canthus (anatomy). However, the latter applies to human anatomy and is described as "either corner of the eye where the upper and lower eyelids meet". This is nothing like the ophidian canthus (snakes don't have eyelids). --Jwinius 01:05, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi Jaap,
We require an image. I'm sure of the many images of vipers in WM Commons at least one can be derived to show this! Sorry, but you'll have to do this. Regards, Ashwin
