[edit] IV Cannulation

I am disturbed by the fact that I see instruction, esp. medical in this article. I don't have any working knowledge of wikipedia guidelines, but I believe this is a violation. The article also address the reader directly which I think is another violation [ potentially less dangerous however]. PidGin128 from 65.190.216.161 (talk) 09:03, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Yes, well it looks like it has been copied or paraphrased from some sort of medical instruction book aimed at practitioners. It's not referenced either, which doesn't help. Any medical-type people out there that can assist? Freestyle-69 (talk) 06:43, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Haematoma caused by not puncturing the vein?

I'm not sure about the description of the cause of haematoma given here: the failure to puncture the vein when the cannula is inserted or removed should not lead to haematoma - the opposite would have to be true. PeterBrooks 00:25, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] cannulated rooster or dog?

In animal nutrition research I often see cannualated roosters or dogs mentioned. I have no idea what exactly this means, but I hope someone can add this subject to the article. ike9898 23:12, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
