[edit] Canisius College People
The list of people found in this article needs to be culled to the most important, the rest will remain only on the List of Canisius College people article. I'm not an alum, so I'll leave it as is for a few days to let someone more knowledgeable take the lead. If not, I'll do it later this month. A picture of one or two of the grads would help too. Pics of Congressmen are easy to get. --Cjs56 16:15, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Actually, I'm just going to leave it, although I did clean up the main Canisius College People article. It's very pretty now. --Cjs56 17:17, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] List of Canisius College People Merge Discussion
So... User:Ruud Koot has proposed that the List of Canisius College people article be merged with this one. I am opposed. The list of important alumni and professors is too extensive to include solely in the main Canisius College article. Any other college or university with a similar number of notable people has a stand-alone list article. --Cjs56 (talk) 19:31, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- Both articles are very short at the moment. I strongly doubt that the list can be expanded anywhere near the size of List of Massachusetts Institute of Technology alumni, as even the people currently listed don't have articles and are therefore borderline/not notable. —Ruud 19:52, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

- Comment(s), While I would certainly hold up the MIT alumni page as a gold standard for all pages to aspire to, I would not hold it up as the standard to use for inclusion in Wikipedia. I think that the list as it stands now is extensive enough to merit independent inclusion. In regard to several of the dead-links, I would offer that many of them are in the field of business, which is greatly under-represented in wiki in my opinion (in contrast, almost all of the political and sports alums have articles). Even if you are not persuaded that the page as it stands deserves inclusion, I would beg more time to search wiki and other sources for notable alumni. --Cjs56 (talk) 02:22, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
