[edit] Reputation

Contrary to popular belief, Candykids can sometimes be obnoxious to your more docile raver. The style can be a bit abraisive, and their constant over-excitment has been known to steal the mood from the music, and make themselves a centerpiece. They also have an afinity for breaking their beaded gear, and leaving trails of hot pink plastic underneath the feet of other ravers. During my own rave experiences, I find it's difficult to stay around a candykid for longer than a few minutes, due to constant movement, and chipper voices most often loud in volume, to combat the music. Although they can be pleasent to look at it, and interesting to watch, i've known many non-candy ravers to avoid frolicing with them. Young candykids, specifically underaged teenage girls are the worst offenders of the above irritations. They often seek to be 'accepted' by long-time veterans of Free parties, and in doing so only seem to annoy them and drive them off.

With that said, I notice more and more 'candyshops' which are groups of candyravers picking a certain area in which to meet and frolic with their kind. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.150.213.83 (talk) 02:29, October 14, 2006

[edit] Notes on Candy Raver style

I also feel that there was a few things in the article that wasen't mentioned as to the bejeweled style of a Candykid. There was no mention of how liberal a candykid tends to be when applying loose glitter, or glitter gels to any part of their body that they want you to see. Stickers of all kinds also adorn bare flesh, spefically underneath the eyes, and across the cheeks. Small plastic rhinestones, or body jewels are sometimes adheared to the flesh of a candy raver. I've seen these jewels on collarbones, cheeks, and on the inner and outter corners of the eye. I've seen an abundance of brightly colored angel, or fairy wings on several Candy raves both male, and female. Usually glittery, and littered with feathers, or small gemstones. They usually chose wings with smaller frames, as not to thwap a nearby dancer with their already over-done attire.

Just as much as you may see 'Phat Pants' on a candy raver, i've also seen many young female candykids sporting mesche skirts, or skirts with reflective stripes on either sides of their thighs. Fuzzy leg warmers, and open stockings like fishnets are also a very common item, though that learns very much towards Cyberkids. I've even seen the occasional 80's stirrup stretch pants in bright colors, sometimes underneath a shirt, or pair of shorts, sometimes not. And even the ever classic moonboots, which are quite comfortable to dance in, and very child like in essence, which is exactly what a candyraver channels.

Babydolls, in their own brightly colored attire and sometimes carried, complete with a pascifier pinned to their outfits, which double as the owner's personal chew toy throughout the night. I see alot more anime related dolls, and plush toys at some more recent events, and I see alot more ribbon tied around the neck, or wrist.

Don't see many Candykids ( which i'll call CK because it's getting obnoxious to type) wearing earrings, unless they are small studs which won't easily get caught on anything. The CK also searches for a candy-like scent in which to spray heavily on themselves before going to an event. Specifically cotton candy scents, which are somewhat nauseating.

Anyways, that's pretty much all i've taken in on the style, and I felt there should be mention since the article wasen't very up to date on the style. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Waisetsu na (talk) 03:01, October 14, 2006

[edit] UK club origins

Were found in the UK at the start of the main euphoric/uplifting trance scene and were known as cyber kids. Famous in clubs like Gatecrasher but also found in the other UK clubs Godskitchen, Passion and Slinky. Now found mainly in hard dance and happyhardcore / freeform clubs —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.135.106.179 (talk) 14:51, November 7, 2006

[edit] We are not etards

Candy Kids have been described to a point but not only Candy Kids are etard. An etard is some one who can’t control them self’s or handle them self’s on ecstasy. Any one that takes ecstasy can be an etard, Candy Kids are easy to describe, but etard is not necessary for just Candy Kids you don’t even have to rave to be an etard. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DjFiddleStiX (talk • contribs) 15:17, 23 January 2007 (UTC). in the pic, is he guy on the far right a kandy kid? looks more like a ninja.

[edit] Links?

Should we add links to other sites by/for candy kids? like "Candy Kid Central" and it's FAQ? Also how about a mention of the term "PLUR"? 38.100.212.21 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 21:36, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
