Talk:Canadian federal election, minor party positions
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Since the 2006 election is a current event, I think it is liklely that a lot will be written about the minor parties' positions in this election. Should the 2006 section be moved to a stand-alone article? Ground Zero | t 19:45, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- Let's play it by ear. It is possible that only modest additions will be made, but they should be put at the top, with elections in reverse chronological order. If the additions prove to produce a section at least as long as the sections for previous elections (which are by no means closed forever), then 2006 could be split off to a separate article, with links to each other. I'm too lazy to research, but The CHP opposed decriminalization of possession of small amounts of marijuana., is that right? Should definitely say briefly why, if so, since it seems to oppose their very name. Sherurcij 19:30, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
No, it makes sense to me. The CHP is a social conservative party, so they would logically oppose loosening pot laws. Ground Zero | t 19:34, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
- Damn I'm stupid, I missed that the paragraph switched between talking about the Marijuana Party and the CHP...that's gotta be my stupidest error this month Sherurcij 03:41, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
