Considering it's Israel and all it could be worse, but I still can't accept this phrase. "A shared commitment to democratic values, understanding, and mutual respect". Both countries have a horrible colonial history - they were founded on the seizure of others' land and homes, the ethnic cleansing of that land, and the subsequent oppression of the remaining native population. This is not democratic, and it is certainly not mutual respect. --Jammoe (talk) 02:43, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
